Collection: R Sawan White

R. Sawan White began her artistic journey in England, where she trained as a printmaker and painter. She first started as a Provost Scholar at Virginia Commonwealth University before transferring to Loughborough University School of Art and Design, where she earned her BA (Honors) in Printmaking. 

Her work has been exhibited internationally, from New York, London, Taipei and New Zealand, and is held in private, corporate, and academic collections around the world.

Beyond her studio practice, she has spent more than two decades teaching, lecturing, and leading seminars on contemporary aesthetics and art history. She was a founding faculty member at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and continues to speak at galleries, museums, and universities.

Today, she lives and works in Rhode Island, where she remains deeply engaged in both making and mentoring.
