Collection: Lauren Smith

Lauren’s work draws inspiration from her life in North Louisiana, which she shares with her husband, Jonathan, and their three children. Her practice is deeply rooted in a mixture of creativity, her love of interior design and a background in graphic arts. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, Lauren acquired an understanding of fine arts during her studies. It was during that time that Lauren also fell in love with color theory and was able to find the harmonious pallet she uses in her pieces. 

Upon her graduation, Lauren spent 10 years pursuing her career in graphic design and sales before deciding to stay home with her two boys to enjoy motherhood. During that time, she also began doing freelance interior design work. While navigating the newborn stage with her third child, Lauren was inspired to begin creating original works. Lauren paints while imagining the space in which her pieces will one day live, places much like her own home, that hold space for friends and family, bustling with energy and fun.
