Largely self-taught, she uses her formal education in psychology (Berry College, 2012), as well as her bucolic setting, to inform and nurture her artistic voice. Her work is heavily symbolic and intuitive. She views abstract expression as the bridge that connects emotion and personal story with movement and color.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"preFade fadeIn\"\u003eCreative through various avenues her entire life, including writing, photography, and interior decorating, Mary first started painting as a personal catharsis and to fill her own home with original art. Painting quickly became a passion and obsession. Over the past 5 years, she has experimented with and evolved her methods of abstraction to hone her unique style. You can now find her in her studio on a daily basis creating commissions and seasonal collections.
